Dan Owens

Dan Owens started his public service tenure with the City of Hanahan in 2010. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of South Carolina – Coastal in 1992. After growing up in West Ashley, he and his wife Kelly, decided to move to Hanahan to take advantage of the excellent schools and the small town community feel. Dan is an Admissions Director for Oakbrook Skilled Nursing Facility. Kelly is a Title 1 facilitator at Berkeley County School District. Dan has two children; Marley (12) and Parker (7) who attend public school in Hanahan. Dan and his family are members of Highland Park Baptist Church.

In Dan’s spare time, he enjoys coaching his children at the recreation department, spending time with his family and bow hunting. Dan has found it rewarding to work together with the citizens, the mayor and other members of city council to bring out the best that Hanahan has to offer.
