Mural Grant

Over 20% of Hanahan residents surveyed in the Town Center Master Plan expressed a desire for Public Art, and we're excited to announce a new mural grant program specifically for businesses in the Town Center District. The City is committed to creating a vibrant town center and public art is a vital component.

For FY23-24, the City has allocated a total of $10,000 to the mural grant program and our goal is to award at least two grants in April 2024.

The Mural Grant is a matching grant where recipients may receive reimbursement for up to 75% of what they spend, but the maximum total grant that they can receive is $5,000.

Winners will be chosen based on creativity, proximity to high-traffic area, and how well the mural captures the essence of the City of Hanahan.

Our goal is to continue to enhance the atmosphere of the town center, encourage new visitors, and ultimately help our local business community.
