Biography
Chris Evans started his fire service career with the City of Hanahan in 2017 after attending Summerville Fire and Rescue's Recruit School. Chris was born and raised in Hanahan and takes pride in serving in his community.
Aside from his regular day to day operations as a Battalion Chief on "B" shift, Chris heads with, Battalion Chief Gros, runs the public safety and community risk reduction programs. Chris is also an active member of the truck committee which designs new apparatus to best serve the public and the firefighters who ride them. Chris holds the position of Vice President on the departments 1% board.
When Chief Evans is not working he enjoys spending time with his family, friends and his dog -a Dalmatian named Rookie.
