Michael Bargeron

Biography

Assistant Fire Chief Bargeron began his firefighting career 2004. In 2008 he went to Altamaha Technical College to obtain his EMT training and later joined the Glynn County Fire Department as a Firefighter/ EMT. During his time there he obtained his Paramedic license.

As the Assistant Chief, Chief Bargeron serves as the Department’s Health and Safety Officer, Infection Control Officer, and manages EMS operations and EMS training for all personnel. Chief Bargeron’s past assignments have included: Firefighter/Engineer, Paramedic, Safety Officer, Training Officer. Chief Bargeron holds a BS degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University, a Master’s  degree in Public Administration from Belhaven University, and he is a NPQ Fire Officer III, Haz-Mat Technician,  Marine Firefighter, and Fire and Paramedic Instructor.
