Biography

 

Timothy Gros started his career in the fire service in October of 2001. After several years in the volunteer service, he started with Hanahan in May of 2010. He had two brother's in the fire service, one who previously worked for the City of Hanahan and a second who is currently a Captain at North Charleston Fire Department. 

Chief Gros is currently the Battalion Chief for C Shift. He currently acts as the Fire Departments Public Information Officer, as well as their IT Liaison. He also assists Captain Evans with the Public Relations and Community Risk Reduction programs.

His work ethic, dedication, and eagerness to improve those around him led him to being honored by the Department and the Community with Firefighter of the Year from both the Hanahan Fire Department and the Hanahan Exchange Club, in 2013 and 2014 as well as Fire Officer of the Year in 2019.  He currently lives in Ladson with his two dogs.
